I have an 05 grand Cherokee with 3.7 .oil is full and recent change.on start up my oil light stays on and doesn't go out. but if I shut it off and restart light goes out as it would normally any ideas

 

Sounds like it could be a sticky pressure switch. Does it only do it from a cold start or does it do it every time you start it?

 

before your next oil change id add some Kleen Flo 5 minute Engine Flush... if your jeeps had a questionable past like mine, and may have some stuff gummed up in it, this will really help it out... perhaps help that pesky light from coming on again...
