99 WJ Teves Calipers 149K KM 4 rotor changes
Title says it all
Was unfortunately not one to get the Warranty Upgrade from Teves to Akebono calipers under the TSB , and have had to go through no less than 3 rotor changes . Actually the fourth is due now at 150,000 km.
I have asked & escalated at Chrysler Jeep Canada, and also mentioned the U.S. Lawsuit, in a vain effort to get them to provide the upgrade at this late date....to no avail...BBB is my next step.
At this point, I would like to ask the form members for some support.
a) Recommend what corrective action you have done to resolve the problem.
i.e. Torque Tighten Lugs, Stillen Rotors, Abebono Calipers, etc...
b) If you have a similar story, it would provide a reference for the BBB and
c) Provide me your contact info if you are interested in a Canadian Class Action Suit should my efforts with the BBB fail.

Some folks have the same warping problems even after switching to akebonos... not sure how much luck you'll have convincing the BBB or winning a civil case over this issue, especially since these are 10+ year old trucks.
I have the Teves calipers and I put upgraded (vented / slotted) rotors on my front end along with high ceramic pads, and haven't had a problem in a couple of years. Once in a while I'll get a sticky slide pin and have the tear them apart to stop the squeaking. If left alone, a bad slide pin will cause uneven pressure---and warp the rotor even faster.
