I see on the US JK forum there are people making their own sun shades. Has anyone around Ont done that? I can't fine the sun screen. In the US they are getting it at Lowes and Home Depot. I can't find it and when I ask they look at me like I have 3 heads.

yes I have looked at those and the others but I wanted to make my own. I have seen what others have done for like $30 to $40 bucks but just can't find the material here. Summer is almost over so I may just get one over the winter, no rush now.

 

I picked up a dirty dog from just jeeps. Cost about $70 (rear only in a jku). I was going to make my own, but by the time I buy the materials and tools....plus time sewing (my time is a limited resource)...i figured I save myself by just buying it. Front and back will be ~$149. Still money well spent!

**edit** I didn't see your last post about you wanting to make it your own. I went to a fabric store to look for the mesh and rings. Forgot what the cost was going to be. Try your local fabric store. They might carry them.

 

yes if its allot for the materials and of course my time then yes for sure id buy one but if its like $30 bucks...thats hard to pass on.
