Does anyone know if this navigation is a garmin device?

Also are the maps updated automatically or do you have a buy a cd once a year?

 

The GPS is Garmin powered, as far as automatic updates are concerned, its highly unlikely... although dealer may be able to take care of it, i know garmin is very good at keeping their products up to date, its just how is jeep going to handle bringing it to the end user...
