Default Curious about the Winter in a JK??

Ive heard horror stories to fill a barrel....I had an 02 Cherokee, loaded, remote starter, heated seats, mirrors etc.....

Its my driver, so will drive all winter...I hear its quite "cool".....(as in damn cold)

Any hints, advice??? Not paying another $550.00 or so for remote starter....

Ignore the horror stories and the fountains of misinformation. I have a 2010 JK 4 door. Actually surprised because it warms up faster in the cold than the F-150's I've owned. Never had a problem with it all last winter and it would boldly go where no other vehicle would/could go in the snow. That is with the freedom top. No soft top is going to be warm when it's -20C outside.

the heater in my 2010 is hot enough to melt the hair on my legs in the winter...no issues here at all!

PS, we live in New Brunswick and saw some -30 last winter!

The JK heater really pumps out the heat, and the engine warms up fast, you'll be fine.

You'll be fine is right.. The Jeep Wrangler is the most capable winter vehicle ever produced. Have had my 08 through 3 winters. Absolutely love it in winter and we've had up to -45C. Just make sure you get the Hardtop for winter..

I had the softtop on all winter and it was fine. Like everyone said, the heater on the JK is great.

Great once again thanks, you guys/girls are a mountain of info...I have a hardtop....and will be getting a soft top for next summer......have a cab cover for when the tops are all off....but would prefer to have something portable...figured its cheaper to get the hardtop in the deal, and get the soft top after....

Just to add another positive response.I have a 2010 hard top in Quebec and I used the heater full blast once last year after my son played a football game in the rain/snow late November to warm him up. That lasted about 1 or 2 minutes before he couldn't take the heat and we were putting the windows down because it was too hot in the truck. I also have a friend in Toronto and she used the soft top all winter.
