Hi guys,
Are wheel bearings and axle shaft bearings two different components?
The reason I'm asking is I need my wheel bearings replaced and I still have the powertrain warranty but the dealer says wheel bearings are not under powertrain. Only the axle shaft bearings are warranted.

There are two sets of bearings, one in the axel and another in the hub, not counting the CV joint, which is part of the axel I would think. ( the hub bearings could be called wheel bearings )
