Hello, any insight into this is appreciated.

I have 02 Liberty that is kicking in and out of O/D.

I am into cars and have worked on them for years, but NEVER been a transmission guy at all. I have read up quite a bit on this problem, but there is one confusing issue I have (in the last line below).

I have not had the codes pulled off as yet, hopefully this week, but I just wanted any insight possible.

From what I have found out it could be

1. Speed Sensor - Which I did check and is working properly.
2. Governor Pressure Solenoid
3. Pressure Transducer

Here is the kicker -
I start out driving and everything is fine and it shifts through the gears including O/D fine.
I go down the road for a few minutes and when the trans needs to change from 3 to OD during normal driving again, I get that clunk and it shifts in and out a few times.
I keep driving and it doesn't always go back into O/D.
Also if I start off from a stop sign it does not shift down to 1st, but only on occassion.
BUT - When I turn the key off ( even for a few seconds) and restart everything is fine again??? Leading me to beleive it is an electronic issue??
