ok idont know if this is a common problem but im trying to get the leafs out and on both sides the front bolt will turn but wont come out im wondering if im doing somthing wrong and if anybody else has had this problem

there's a nut welded to the body on the inside, they tear loose .. what i do if i encounter this is cut an access flap underneath, bend the steel back, get a wrench on the nut, weld a new nut to a washer, weld that inside, bend steel flap back, weld that up

^ post was 2 months old im sure he got it out by now.
and i may have miss read his post but it sounds like he just cant slide the bolt out of the leaf. just the matter of jacking up the leaf taking the stress off. or just take the hole shackle out.

you did misread it, he said front bolt, not the shackle end

And this is why most wreckers just cut them out LOL! I got real lucky on my XJ when I did the lift years ago, I used blocks since the leafs springs still had lots of arch to them.
