So, I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section; nonetheless, I'm assuming a moderator will kindly move it if it is in the wrong spot.

Just bought a new 2013 Sahara Unlimited. No mods, yet. My boys want to go camping this summer and I don't know where to go. I'm new to Alberta. I live in Edmonton.

Maybe this is just a fantasy, but I'd like to find a place to camp where I would have to take some off road trails to get to, plus, if possible, cross a creek or river that isn't too high.

Anyone have any suggestions where I could find such a place?
Planning on taking this trip beginning of July.

 

sorry I don't know Edmonton at all... but if you want to get down to the Calgary/ bragg creek area? I would usually head up to water valley past wiaprious area with the family, its nice and the trails are fairly long and not too hard-core!! the fishing is fun if you and the family like camping and fishing?
