yj 4 whl shifter ?

Default lets try this again .shifting transfer case question

have1992 YJ .but no owners manual.shifter 4L and 4H. is 4L for climbing hills and curbs?.and is 4H for normal 4wd on roads say in snow etc?. also at what speeds can you shift into 4L and 4H. thanks Ron.

4 low is four crawling, and shifted into below 10KMH. Basically stopped is best way to avoid damage to the Tcase. As for casual wheeling, 4H works most of the time.
