Hello I have just recently bought a 1991 YJ for my son. It has a lift kit in and 35X12.5 tires. It has been giving us grief with the rear drive shaft. After 3000.00 in repairs I am looking at getting smaller tires say 31X10.5's or a little bit smaller. Will 16 or 17 inch rims fit this jeep with a 5 on 5 bolt pattern?

 

The stock yj rims have a 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern. Have the axles been changed?

 

thank you for your response. I am not sure if the axles were changed or not but the rims are a 5 bolt pattern with 5 inch spacing.
