just got this jeep is an 88 and pretty good condition ,It has a 2.8 straight 6 i guess they call it. I want to know what the original carb,was? Mine has a holley 2brl carb.on it. Is that normal does anyone know... Help!!!!! jeepdee

 

can you post a picture? There's a bunch of conflicting information. an 88 should be fi. The straight six should be either a 4 or 4.2 (88 should be 4). The 2.8 is a v6 and to my knowledge was only sold in the states.

 

88 yj will have acarb on it no fuel injection for yj till 90-91. they had 3.8 v6 but in 07. 4.2l inline 6 was carbureted. 2.8 came in early xj. google it
