Can't say for the 9" but I put an 8.8 from a 97 Exploder under mine with Posi and disk brakes. Only major things I had to do was remove the old spring perches and shock mounts and re-weld on new ones in the proper locations for the YJ Was able to use my original master cyl and brake line to the new disks. E-brake I'm still not happy with and will prob end up getting the kit from M.O.R.E to finish it. My stock drive shaft was reused with no mods other than a flange adapter.

More than likely if you have the 2.5L and it's stock your going to have the 4.10 ratio. You can find the 8.8 with that ratio in it.

ya its 4.10 ill probably go with the 8.8 instead the 9 in would be way to wide and then i can stick with the same bolt pattern and do the rear disks brakes
