1990 YJ -Stupid Question..I'm sure!
 

Hello, Just joined the forum and just bought my first Jeep, 1990 YJ. I have a dumb question. On the exhaust manifold there is an open outlet where exhaust is coming out of it's not where the down pipe meets the manifold but sticking out the side of the manifold.it looks like and piece of exhaust pipe sticking out the side of the manifold. Is there supposed to be something covering this round outlet? Is it suppose to tie into the exhaust system.:confused:

Not a stupid question at all, do need more information before being able to give a definitive answer. Picture would be even better. what motor? what diameter is the hole?

Its the open pipe that doesn't connect to the exhaust...

That's for the pre-heat tube. it connects to the air box.
