TJ Hardtop condensation

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Have had a '99 Wrangler TJ for about 6 months.
I've recently encountered completely soaked floor mats and thought I had a water leak through the door seals. Finally figured out that, with the cooler weather, the roof of the hardtop heats up qickly in the morning creating massive condensation on the inside which runs forward and drips on to the floor.

Obviously, insulating the hardtop roof would be a solution, but not sure how to go about it. Anybody out there had this issue and been able to fix it?

Thanks much for any suggestions!
Rob

Yes I've had the same may be not to the extent of the floor getting wet too, but the inside roof is wet, I just dry it off, turn the heat on and chuck it up as a JEEP thing. Not a great reply for what your looking for but not much else one can do.

There are kits sold for this..... think I have seen them in the back of JP magazine.

Crack your window a bit,
say an 1/8 to 1/4", it will still be protected by overhang,
and will let excessive moisture out of jeep...

I leave my windows cracked a bit all winter long. It allows the hot moist air (melted snow from boots) to leave the cab thus minimizing inside frost on the windows. just sucks when we get a storm with high winds as them i have to use the snow brush on the seats and dash! lol
