Summer Top

A full soft top is currently not in the budget so i'm thinking full length safari top. The plan is to only have it on if bad weather is in the forecast. Is it enough to keep out the rain with the doors on? The kids can always wear their raincoats to protect them from road spray in the back...right? Are they easy enough to take on and off in a moments notice? What is the brand of choice?

...or is there something else I should be looking at?

Thanks

Re: Summer Top

Greetings,
I recall, many, many years ago that putting on and removing kid's raincoats could be either done in seconds or what seemed like hours depending on the kid's moods. Brand is up to you but I'd reccommend Sponge Bob Square Pants. Just love that Sponge Bob. I'd also look at rubber boots for the tykes.

What type of Jeep do you have? A Safari top will not keep all the rain/water from coming in especially from the sides. The kids would be completely soaked from the deluge of water with or without rain gear. If you are not buying a OEM Mopar Top the only other company you should look at is Bestop.

Re: Summer Top

I have a '99 TJ, It's not our only vehicle so if it's pouring rain the family won't be going out in it. My main concern is keeping myself dry going to work and if we're out and get caught, having some protection. If there's no rain in the forecast I plan on having the top and doors off!
