Stereo problem,Alpine and fact sub.System
This is in my 03 Rubi, when bought it had a kenwood head unit, swapped an Alpine,(same plug) in.worked well since last fall.few days ago started loosing audio when hitting a bump, another and it was back.stays lit up,cd shows playing or radio on.pulled out and found P.O.installed adapter harness to deck with house twist connectors.Ground was apart.pulled that crap and soldered/heat shrink.no audio at all now, just a "on" noise from RR speaker, had intermittent crackling from sub only before,Swapped deck with RV(same deck)both work fine in RV,not in Jeep!fuses good for radio and sub system. Any thoughts where to look?

Re: Stereo problem,Alpine and fact sub.System
Sounds like something is going to ground that should not be. I would check every wire to verify it is going where is should.

Re: Stereo problem,Alpine and fact sub.System
Can anyone verify that the amp for subwoofer in fact powers all speakers? If this is the case then i would lean to amp going south.I was getting crackling noises from sub.Short term solution=run wire to all 4 speakers from deck, figure out something to replace fact.sub and amp.Suggestions Please!guessing the amp is in console??
