Canada serpintine belt question

I am looking at removing the air conditioner from my tj equipped with a 4.0 engine. What I would like to know is will the belt from a non air conditioned engine work and what changes if any will I need to make?
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I think so, an auto part store should have a belt "bible" with belt numbers and routing diagrams. The last one I saw was a few years back and I think it was put out by goodyear.

I would think Dayco should have one as well.

whats the reason for removing?some vehicles have totaly different belt routing for AC nonAC vehicles idler pulleys may be in wrong spot if you remove the AC.the AC quit working on my tj not sure why, the compressor still worked so i converted it to on board air compressor

Shouldn't need any changes?

Check this site out, he has some great diagrams !!

Why remove the AC?? Keep the compressor and turn into a OBA !!

thanks for the web site. it answered my question very clearly. I was going to remove the air conditioner to reduce drag on the engine and improve my gas mileage but I like your idea of the OBA. Since the air does not work anyway this is a good idea. I dont suppose you have a web site to tell me how to do this do you?
thanks again
