Question about Spacer Kit
I have a 2001 Jeep TJ, 5 speed, 4.0L stock. I am unhappy with the lack of clearance I have from the gas tank to the ground. Last run I did with some buddies I put a dent in the belly plate which protects the gas tank.
Is it possible to install 2.5" lift spacers with my factory springs? Im not looking to go too crazy and I want to stay mostly stock. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Im pretty sure there are 2.5" budget boosts for TJs.. ive put in 2" ones before on a few of my buddys rigs so i know at least that high exists.
If your going with bigger rubber just watch out for clearence issues

I was going to stick with the factory rims and rubber thats on there now. I was just curious if its possible to install spacers without getting the new springs.
If you look at lifting the body without switching your springs, you can do that with your TJ. Most brands of accessories have 1-1.25" spacers but look at Skyjacker and maybe Rugged Ridge. I believe you can get up to 3" at a really good cost.
Another very important aspect is to slow down offroading ur lucky this time it was only a dent in the fuel tank skid plate, next time it could be ur oil pan or worse.
yeah for sure, it was a huge pipe across the trail at the bottom of a hill, I crept as slow as possible. My jeep just had less clearance then the rest of my buddies in their newer jeeps
