My digital odometer reads 88888888 and it flashes. The kms are not being displayed. The trip meter works. I have checked all the fuses and the connections on the tranny and nothing seems out of the normal. Any ideas?

 

I did some searching and it seems to me you may have to replace the instrument cluster.

 

Try this it may work or may not do anything. Disconnect the battery and leave it off for 30 minutes then reconnect it, sometimes it will reset itself. .

 

In a best case scenario maybe, but usually not.
If you do disconnect the battery, it's a perfect time to inspect and clean the terminals and ground really well. Won't fix your cluster, but still a good thing.
