Default Need to know quick planning on changing fluids ASAP...thanks???

This is what I picked up for changing my fluids...

My Jeep is a 1998 TJ 4 cly Standard Transmission...

Engine Oil - Mobile 1 Extended Performance Full Synthetic
Filter- Fram Synthetic Oil Filter
Transfer Case Fluid - Mobil 1 Super ATF +4 Automatic Transmission Fluid
Gear Fluid- MotorMaster Synthetic 75w90
Transmission Fluid - Ordered Redline MTL for Transmission...

Couple Questions...
Was wondering if this was a good choice...also I want to change my Tranny fluid today and no one has Redline so I ordered it but what could I use in the mean time that would be good that I could buy at NAPA or Canadian tire or something???

Also do I need Friction Moddifier for my gear fluid?

Fluids are as personal at times as modding your Jeep, all I run is Amsoil in all my Jeeps and Wix/ Amsoil filters. If you really like your Jeep don't run the Fram filter, NAPA Gold's are a good/ better choice for the same price.
Depending on what diff's you have (I'm assuming you have a D30 and D35) most required some friction modifier. Check on your bottle of diff oil, some manufacturers add it in already.

Just a question but why would you want to use a high speed sports car transmission oil in your Jeep's tranny? Seems like overkill to me, especially at the prices I found for it.

Friction modifier is only needed if you have a limited slip differential, not otherwise.

There is a special oil for the AX-5/15 transmission, the MTL is good, or the stuff from the dealer. It's GL3 75w90 oil. Don't use a GL4 or 5 oil as it will eat the brass in your synchro's. Make sure it is safe for brass.
