jeep tops

hey, i currently have a hardtop for my 97' jeep, but as the weathers getting warmer i am taking it off all the time, problem is its heavy and i don't like taking it off solo( scratched the side already) let alone putting it on(haven't tried this solo yet, don't plan on). I've been looking at both softtops/halftops/and buying the bikini top, windjammer, and deck cover separate( which is 200$ cheaper then the halftop??). i was wondering if anyone new how easy these were to take off and put on(they will mainly be on at night and off in morning, when raining i still plan on using hardtop), and whether the hardtop can still be used with the halftop, or does the installation of the halftop or soft top interfere with the hardtop assembly?
any input would be greatly appreciated.

if u have a grage u could set up a small rig on the celings to pull it off and drive out from under it and do the reverse to put it back on .

One little trick to make it allot lighter putting on and off by hand (this is a 2 person job) remove the rear window, then remove the top.

one question ... when putting the back window back on at another time, how easy is it to line up the holes to get the bolts back in?? And what size are they by the way??

If you’re planning on a bikini and a windjammer,,,the bikini is very easy to remove--when you order DO NOT forget to order the header for the bikini.
As for the windjammer it's a pain to install/remove, 7 straps-if I remember correctly,,, so it take some times.
You will need the door surround to make a nice fit and less wind noises...I’ve got tired after a summer and sold them on eBay,,,much easier the original soft top,,,faster to remove and install.:p, Depending of your buget; HOSS™ Cover for 1-Pc Hardtops for Wrangler, 86-06,Part Number 42802,131.99US for the storage of the hard top that you can leave outside...and enjoy the soft top all summer long:lol_hitting:

thanks for the input, and yes i am on a budget thats why i was leaning towards the bikini windjammer, deck cover for 300$ vs a soft top and assembly for 800+$, but i will keep that in mind, would you think it would hold nice not doing up all the straps? for instance if i just putting it on at night for security (not that it will stop someone who really wants in) and also it does work without the door surrounds, correct?
