Re: jeep fender flares
I'd say eBay is your best bet. I see all kinds under 150.00 for the set

Re: jeep fender flares

Re: jeep fender flares
but thanks

Re: jeep fender flares
What's wrong with the flares you have on your Jeep?
|
Re: jeep fender flares
If he was after anything I'd sell him my stock one's I removed when I put the extended ones on, but he wants NEW.
|
Re: jeep fender flares
I was wondering why he wants NEW?
If he just wants to replace them because his are faded, there are a number of ways of making them look NEW again. And I don't understand the reluctance to use eBay. It's always worked really well for me and millions of others. Just gotta make sure it's a reputable vendor with good feedback. |
Re: jeep fender flares
no I got a flat and it took out part ofthe fender flare so duck tape is being used to hold it together for now but i really do want new I tried a few things to make them go back to black and just find that nothing last more then 2 -4 months

Re: jeep fender flares
Have you tried a heat gun and/or some black Krylon?
|
Re: jeep fender flares
May be if told us which one is caput someone might have a replacement for you really cheap, I for example have 3 goods one and one with a cut in it. Anyways since your after NEW ones you can call Michel at national4wd in Chateauguay go to there website they have a toll free number, theres also PJF in Dorion ask for Danny they might carry them also. Also to make the color come back I use the stuff your supposed to put on the dash to make it all shinny and uv protected(Armour-all)
|
Re: jeep fender flares
Armor all won't work on badly faded flares. What will work is a heat gun, or spraying them with satin black Krylon Fusion.
Strangely enough the flares on my 98 have not really faded at all. They're still nice and black once I wash the dirt off. |
Re: jeep fender flares
Proper paint, prep and a warm surface and Satin Black Krylon is your friend.
I've done my front and rear bumpers and the side cladding, in almost 2 years and about 60,000kms highway and offroading they still look great with no fade so far. |
Re: jeep fender flares
cracks and cuts can be plastic welded... id offer to do it for ya but I think the distance would be the killer...
|
Re: jeep fender flares
where can you get that satin black Krylon Fusion from I have never seen it before I have tried the heat gun but only lasts for about 2 months then the second time I did it not as good
|
Re: jeep fender flares
Canadian Tire sells the stuff. Probably Reno Depot and Home Depot.
|
Re: jeep fender flares
thanks alot does the satin black Krylon Fusion also work on the bumper ends not sure what they are called in each end of the bumper and they come off
|
Re: jeep fender flares
Krylon Fusion ... worked for 2 and half years ...
check other forums and places like craiglist.. seems some TJ owners will sell them when they upgrade and you might get lucky! |

I have to rattle can a few things every year, and it turns out nice, it's cheap and it's easy. Just takes a bit of maintenance once in a while. A no brainer imo. |
