Installing Fog Lights
Okay so I am planning to install some foglights. I have done a couple on my previous truck; but I havent done it on jeeps; as this is my first jeep. I know its the same concept but I want to hear how some other people have done it.. Where did you guys put your foglights, which are the better kinds, where did you run your wires, and did you guys have your own toggle switch for your lights? Let me know because if there is a better way to setup foglights than I want to use that technique with my jeep. Thanks.

Re: Installing Fog Lights
i just did a set on my moms 99 tj, i used the stock holes in the bumper and the wires that came with the set. I ran the wire that connects the 2 lamps together through the tube in the fram in the front of the chassis; then i ran the rest of the wire through a round hole in the front, just under the grill. up to the battery, then into the cab and ounted a switch beside the wheel.
hope this helps |
Re: Installing Fog Lights
Fog lights should be mounted low and wide,
ends of the bumper are good, Spot lights should be mounted high and central, hinge brackets or light bars work best. Good luck... Billy |
Re: Installing Fog Lights
I just had a set put on my 2002 TJ, and I wired it to a mopar foglight switch that I bought to make it look original. There is a blank spot next to rear defrost and rear wiper to put the switch, mopar part# 5080861AA. Or check out this link for an aftermarket switch that would fit in the same location http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...2735&viewitem=
Other option is just use the toggle that comes in the kit. |
