It is amazing that this many of us changed resistors at almost the same time.
All I did was take off the glove box,,,no tools....removed the one screw for the interior light, and from underneath and through to glove box opening take out the to screws holding it in, change took from start to finish under half hour and really convinced me what a great purchase and fun vehicle it was. It is hands down one of the easiest vehicles to work on and maintain.:)

So is anyone actually going to insulate or apply carpet to their hardtop? I really like my stock hardtop.

I think when I take mine off I might really clean it and give it a coat of white Krylon Fusion on the inside to freshen it up. Or maybe silver to reflect some heat in the winter :D

 

Not touching mine, find it warm and fairly quite.

 

I will, not for heat conseravation, just for fun. here is the material that i'm looking for

I will glue the Velcro to the roof (front part) and one to the carpet. So if i want to change it or clean it i will not have any problems. As soon as i find it will post picture before and after lol

 

That's some scary stuff to be driving around with :D.
I'll stick with the Krylon though. White over the original white so that damage won't be too obvious.

And I'm not sure that velcro alone will do the job for you unless you want to live with sags, bulges and the hazards and headaches of always having your "liner" fall on your noggin while driving. Unless of course you go totally velcro crazy.

nope, not a joke. I've done it yesterday - i picked different material though. I'll start new thread to discuss it.
