Default headlight conversion kit

Hi there, can anyone help me with my headlight confusion ? I would like to change out my stock headlights. I have bought Silverstar 9007 ST and 9006 ST. Do I need some sort of conversion kit in order to use these safely or can I simply change the bulb ? Oh - the vehicle is a 2003 TJ Sport. Thanks so much.

Ok first off the Jeep TJ uses a sealed beam halogen light. You cannot change the bulbs independently without changing the housing. The conversion housings allow you to change the bulb independently but typically use an H4 bulb not a 9007 or 9006. The two manufactures we use for the conversion are KC and Hella.

Thanks Adrian

Thanks so much for your help. Things are getting a lot clearer. Would you suggest sticking with the whole "sealed unit" thing or doing the conversion ? I liked the thought of the Silverstar Ultra approach - is there a sealed beam out there with the same sort of results ?
Hope Im not bugging...

No worries that's why we are here. I recommend the KC HL conversions personally they come with a bulb that you can use and are quite bright. If you are not happy with the bulb then I suggest PIAA head light bulbs. We sell the conversion kits and can ship them. Call us if this is something you would like to do.
