Ok, found the answer reading another post...spot #4 in the fuse panel. Now I have a couple other questions, what size of fuse belongs in there? And I found empty spots at #16 and #20, what are these two for or are they spares?

I just bought the Jeep a few weeks ago and didn't get any manuals.

Thanks.

Re: Door Switches

I have a 03 tj also, go to ur local Chrysler dealer and ask him for one even if he has only a 2002 its the same thing.. free of course. also go to cdn tire and pu a nr 50030 jeep wrangler 1987 thru 2003 all models there under $25. If yur looking at the fuse box under the hood on the pass side under the box top there is a listing for all the fuses and relays and there size. If you don't have a/c or abs this is what you should have blank or nothing in the slot.. Nr. 4 - 5 - 7 - 8 - 11 - 12 - 14 - 20 - 22 - 24 (This is all the fuses and relays spots which should be either empty or blank)
You say u have Nr 16 empty? This I show as 02 sensor which is got a black probably a relay and on top of it is a 15 amp fuse.
If you need more I can list all the fuse and relay spots in that black box under your hood..let me know if u need it.

Now you do have another panel of fuses besides this one in behind the glove box. Open the door and the strap on the right side just slide it off and you glove box will fall off.

Sorry you had to type all that, I should have stated that it was the fuse panel behind the glove box! Thanks Mr. White.

In my '98:
Fuse #4 is a 10 amp. That's the fuse you pull to disable the dome light when you take your doors off. Notice I said when and not if.
#20 is a spare slot that takes a 5 amp fuse.
#16 is also open. It's used for the headlight leveling feature on European models. It's a yellow one.
Hope that helps.

No one ever asked you what's happening with your Jeep that makes you say they are not working??

The interior lights didn't come on when the doors opened and the buzzer didn't sound when the lights were left on....which is the main reason I wanted to figure this out. I guess the guy I bought the jeep for forgot to put the fuse back in slot #4.

Thanks for your help.
