Could it be a 2.5 believe these motors were a bit stronger than the 2.4, but its still a 4 cy even with 4.10's (which I presume you have) Run on the highway with std tires its okay, but for offroading it sucks the small motor but you can get by. Fuel mileage is about the same 4 or 6 cy offroading. My 03 tj sport bot a couple of years ago and some mod's I put on. What I have had to repair actually nothing yet (touch wood) Do your regular oil changes/greasings and wash it to get rid of the mud packed around the brakes and lines and drive like you own it..and it should last a long long time.. look whats on the road still..jeeps more than 20 yrs old

Radiators are known to leak. Need to be replaced with a copper/brass instead of aluminum/plastic.

Ball centering kit in the front driveshaft is prone to squeak. They are nongreasable, but can be replaced with greasable units.

The dash clusters on the earlier models are known to get wonky, giving no readings, and having lights come one. Just a poor connection. I don't thing 2005's had much problem with this.

Exhaust manifolds cracking, but not on newer models.
