Adjustable Track bars
I'm installing a Zone 2" lift on my 2003 Sahara. It's a DD only. The lift is so I can put BFG 33x10.5 tires on.
While I'm under there installing the Lift, should I also install adjustable track-bars. I know I shouldn't really need them, but even a small lift will put the axles out of alignment, and you never know, I may want a bigger lift in the future. I was also going to install some aftermarket swaybar links - the OEM ones seem to wear out quickly. Thanks Graham (Alberta) |
Re: Adjustable Track bars
I just replaced my stock track bar because it was worn out. It was making a loud clunking sound when I turned right. I purchased a skyjacker adjustable track bar which also came with a new steering damper. This required a bracket which was included in the kit to be mounted on the passenger side of the jeep. No this has given me a problem where I cannot get my JKS quick disconnect link back over the pin as it faces inward. Sky jacker makes a double pin disconnect and I may go that way. I'm also looking into options as to what I can go with changing the orientation of the quick disconnect pin. So just make sure your parts are compatable with eachother

Re: Adjustable Track bars
Thanks for the info.
The local Off-Road store stock BDS parts, I'll stick with those. I checked prices on the internet and found that for a few dollars more I can support the local guys. I have the BDS front track-bar, so I'll probably order the rear one too. As I said - may as well while I'm under there. |
