Im sure this question has been beaten to death.i need tires for my 1998 tj.i was looking at two different configurations
1.265/75 15 to keep it more to the stock tire hight but of course wider 10.2 give or take
2.31/10.5 15 a little higher a hair wider than the above
i like the look of the lower/wide 265/75 15 tire combo but is it realistic
are both these good option or im i way off base
i have no extra lift
would it be a good idea to use off set wheels
any suggestion or help would be much welcome

p.s i dont do any real offroading just the odd fire road when i go camping.

 

I am not going to say i'm an expert but I've tried lots of different combo's and so far I really prefer my Goodyear ultra tread 245/75r15 with the higher tire pressure the jeep seems to run smoother but milage is down a bit.
