Canada 2001 jeep tj

Considering buying a use 2001 Jeep tj, with a cloth top. I live in Saskatchewan, which usually means harsh winters. How well do they keep the heat/noise.

Is it recommended to stay away?

It has no a/c but i think i could live with that.
Its a secondary vehicle but a good work/play vehicle.

apprec the input on this.. very serious..

The soft top tends to be pretty loud at highway speed but a Jeep does heat up fast and stays warm just stay away from the 4cyl. The 6cyl is a much better engine.

i've got an 01 as well,as jeepjones said,it holds the heat pretty good, but my concern would be the elements that they put on your roads in the winter, salt or sand? the salt would stain the fabric i would assume(i run the hardtop in the winter, you could find one for cheap).
as for noise,if the windows are up and everything is sealed good, the windows should stay tight and not flap in the wind..just turn the music up a little louder, and yes go with the 4.0ltr
