1998 Jeep Tj Coil Pack Conversion
 

Hey ya'll, has anyone considered doing or has done a coil pack conversion on a 1998 tj? my jeep is pretty special being its actually a 1990 jeep Yj with a 1998 jeep Tj drive train conversion in it, i have tried absolutely in sealing up the distributor cap to make it more water resistant with no luck, next thing i figured i would try and do is put a coil pack conversion kit in it but i cant seem to find any information on it at all.

can't be much help, but the yj is obd1 and the tj is obd2, The systems are quite different, the distributor on the yj just distributes the spark to the correct cylinder, the timing is corrected by the ecu with information it recieves from the crank sensor. On the tj the ecu receives information which cylinder to fire and responds accordingly. Comparing wiring diagrams might help, I'll try try to find diagrams but no promises.
