Default 03 Rubicon rear diff. axle bearings

quick question to figure out what im getting into!on the rear diff axle bearing's pressed onto axle or are axles C Clipped into place (i have the lockers)?mine are shot,as well as the hub bearings in front axle.Thanks Dave(ArgoGirb)

Sorry for the late answer but I could not get into the site for the last few days. All the 44's I've seen have had bearings pressed onto the axles. You've probably found out by now.

Haven't yet but came to that conclusion when i got the new bearings,retainers and seals in my hands.also asked if lockers make a difference,no response!

Once the axle shafts are removed the lockers are held in place by the inner bearing caps.remove them and the diff will pull out but be careful to note the position of the spacers on each side on the diff or you will be setting things up again. If you're just changing bearings it's not a big job it just takes time so don't try to rush it. good luck.

Just changing bearings,right rear shot,may as well do both rear axle shafts at same time.Thanks ,Argo Girb
