Default 03 Rubicon E brake, 4 wheel disc

Hi,having issues getting the park brake to work.New shoes and cables.the levers the cable hooks to seems to be to far forward.anyone have a diagram of how these levers are supposed to sit?They just seem to flop around with shoes off

The lever is a 2 piece assembly and they have a pivot point in the center...suspect yours are rusted/seized together.

Separate them, grind off rust, slather with anti-seize and re-install.

If memory serves, there are some write-ups with photos over at jeepforums.com on the 03 rubicon e-brake lever fix.

Ok thanks.Looks like i have to remove axle shafts to get them out :(

If they're like the levers on the zj's you can get them out without removing the shafts, but it's tight.
