03 Rubicon AC ?
My AC was working when pulled out of the barn in the spring, although a bit weak. Now have nothing.Bought a "recharge kit"with hesitation, checking pressure showing 115 lbs on low side(not running)so not a pressure prob.Did not add anything to system.jumped low pressure switch(@dryer)and high pressure near compressor, did not engage.havent been able to get connector apart @ comp.to verify if getting voltage.A friend had a 98 Neon with a code issue that prevented AC from working, are Jeeps subject to this?Im leaning towards a bad clutch at this point.Opinions please
You need to diagnose it systematically or you will be going round in circles chasing your tail. first thing, check if you have voltage at the compressor clutch, use a test light as it will offer a load to the circuit.
WOW ! Just found this old post(re found?),took it to the dealer last year and they diagnosed bad compressor clutch, estimate of $650 to R and R compressor, drain and refill system.sorry, bit of a memory issue since 9 hrs. of heart surgery in Nov.2014!
