YJ/TJ Clutch Cost$
Anybody out there have a ballpark estimate on what the cost would be for a
new clutch installed in a '91or newer 4.0 Wrangler? TIA, Shamus |
Re: YJ/TJ Clutch Cost$
$600-$900 depending what is being done. $600 if you just replace the
pressure plate and throw-out bearing. After that the price climbs, master/slave replacement, fork replacement, replace/resurface the flywheel. -- HarryS JAFGBR JAFTJO "Shamus in CO" <askme@nospam.com> wrote in message news:1JGdnUY0iZIkqTTdRVn_iw@comcast.com... > Anybody out there have a ballpark estimate on what the cost would be for a > new clutch installed in a '91or newer 4.0 Wrangler? > > TIA, > Shamus > > |

Re: YJ/TJ Clutch Cost$
$500 to $800 at an independent shop, $1200 at the dealer. Actual
labor time is around 5 hours. Besure to have a new throwout bearing installed, trueing the flywheel is a good option. Shamus in CO wrote: > Anybody out there have a ballpark estimate on what the cost would be for a > new clutch installed in a '91or newer 4.0 Wrangler? > > TIA, > Shamus > > |

The next logical step is to find out what tools and equipment you will need to do this as a shade tree mechanic and invite your favorite one over your house. This would not tie up their garage and you can learn as you go. -- <html><form><input type crash></form></html> nospam@zero.com Replace nospam with jetta to reply via e-mail |
