Re: XM Antenna install
Just put is under the roll bar _cover_ on TOP of the roll bar. If you
did this, then check for a short in your antenna cable or connection. Eric wrote: > I did mount it under my roll bar (top and center) and am getting HORRIBLE > reception. There's no short that I can see. And, like I said, I pulled it right out of
the XJ (not hard... it was just tucked) and put it into mine. No crimping or problems I could see. I guess I could try on the hood. If that doesn't work, I'll just sell it on eBay and go back to good 'ole FM and CDs. Just thought since we already owned it and were paying for the service... Re: XM Antenna install
Hmmm. There's really no reason it shouldn't work with this setup. Did
you drive it around a bit to test, or just sitting where you installed it under the big oak tree near the carport on the driveway? :) Sometimes people don't take their surroundings into account when setting up and tuning radio installations. Do you have a roof rack? I wouldn't give up just yet. Eric wrote: > There's no short that I can see.
