Wrangler Bug Deflector?
I'm considering a bug deflector for my '01 Wrangler. Do they work? Best
looking model that offers easiest, cleanest installation? Thanx, Bob |
Re: Wrangler Bug Deflector?
Do they work?... Sure, they protect the 3-4" strip of the hood behind them.

I think they are marginally effective on a vehicle like a sedan with clean aerodynamics, though they do screw up that carefully engineered airflow pattern over the top and sides of the vehicle. When your rig has the aerodyanamic properties of a cement block, you can't expect an itty bitty piece of plastic to have much effect besides protecting the leading edge of the hood from stone chips. Unless you just like the look, don't bother. John Davies SPokane WA USA |
