Find yourself a newer XJ with the 4.0L HO. In the long run you'll be
happier with the engine and you'll need to fix a lot fewer things to get it on the road. jerryg wrote: > On Feb 26, 9:31 pm, "Carl S" <carlsai...@REMOVE.hotmail.com> wrote: >> Sell me the lift :-D >> >> Carl >> >> "jerryg" <Greggi...@msn.com> wrote in message >> >> news:1172546631.123059.60320@h3g2000cwc.googlegrou ps.com... >> >> >> >>> On Feb 26, 9:06 pm, "Matt Macchiarolo" <m...@nospamplease.com> wrote: >>>> <michael.wh...@charter.net> wrote in message >>>> news:1172544825.952687.106190@k78g2000cwa.googlegr oups.com...> On Feb 26, >>>> 7:44 pm, "jerryg" <Greggi...@msn.com> wrote: >>>>>> I just bought an 86 Cherokee. >>>>> Greg, >>>>> Since your Jeep has a frame (i.e. it's not a unibody), you should be >>>>> able to take it to a welding shop and have them weld on new floor pans >>>>> for well under $200. >>>>> Michael >>>> '86 Cherokee with a 2.5L engine should be an XJ, in which case it kinda >>>> is >>>> unibody, they called it "uniframe."
