Wiring accessory lighting

Anybody know the Amp rating of the fog light switch on a cherokee ? Have a
classic ( NIB ) set of KC rectangular 55W fog lights and wanted to use the
original switch.

Thanks Mark

Hi Mark,
Less than ten amps: http://www.the12volt.com/ohm/page2.asp Your
stock relay should work perfectly. It's not like you're wiring in 300
watt Daylighters: http://www.kchilites.com/store/Daylighter-C13.aspx

Just hook it up like you would with it's own relay. That way there will be
no problem and your fogs will get a better supply than the stock wiring.
I never much liked running high amp draws into the cabin.

Just make sure you use a relay and the amp draw on the switch will only be
the draw that the relay does to operate. Don't hook them direclty to the
switch or you will be buying a new switch pretty quick..
