Where to tap off switched 12V in a WJ?

I'm looking for a wire to tap into on my 2004 JGC to get switched 12V for my
radar detector. I looked under the drivers side dash but all the wires are
loomed together so neatly that I can't get to any of them! Just sticking a
wire under a fuse is a bit too tacky for me ;-) I thought my best bet was to
just tap into the cigarette lighter wire -- does anyone know how to remove the
interior trim piece(s) so that I can get to *that* wire??? I don't want to
have any cords visible from my windshield mounted detector. Is one of the
wires going into the inside rear view mirror switched 12V?

Thanks for any help and/or pointers to other sources of info!

I hear tell of both switched and non-switched 12volt stubbed
behind gove box ......... standard.

I'll check that out -- I hope it's true! Thanks for the lead :-)

I just use the ciggy ligher feed. More than enough for a radar detector.
You can use the real thin speaker cable to run power up top to avoid the
dangly cord give-away.
