Where is the keyless module? Gr Cherokee 96

I want to hook up my remote starter to the keyless entry module to
unlock/lock doors but cant find the wires or module. Can someone help with
the location of the module or wires ??

thanks

All I have is 93 schematics and I don't think they are valid past 95.

The 93 uses two wires, one to lock, one to unlock.

On mine the relay center is located under a panel in the glove box
it was hard to get at so I intercepted the harness as it went to the
drivers door. Those were 20 Gauge wires,
Pink with Violet stripe for unlock
Orange with Violet stripe for lock

You could check the wires coming from the door and look for the ones that
get 12V when you hit lock/unlock.

.... problem is that doesn't disarm the stock alarm system ...

To solve that I traced the entry keys disarm switch from the
driver door (18 gauge violet with yellow stripe) and tied it
to ground using a relay that kicks off when the unlock signal
hits.

Drawback, this means that anytime someone hits the unlock button
it disarms the stock alarm. Not a good thing. I didn't care because
it was a Clifford alarm system with remote start that was going in.

If your remote starter has a disarm output (or ground closure) you
could probably use that directly. Me, I like using those little bitty
12v relays.

Thanks for your response Doug

Still no go. The manual does mention the orange/violet and pink/violet for
lock/unock but I cant find them anywhere. I checked all wires on the
drivers door plug with a probe and only two are giving pulses and they both
pulse on lock or unlock... I think maybe its a data bus and the information
goes thru the same wire. Maybe this is different from the other grand
cherokee because its a limited edition.

might have to try the dealership and see if they have a maintenace book with
schematics you can look at. That or contact the folks that made your remote
starter and see if they have any better instructions. An other way might be
to find a local alarm/sterio shop and see if they have information on your
vehicle.

I think if your looking at the drivers door harness the colors are different.
those colors match the wires running from the dash side of the connector.
