Re: Wheel spacers

Here in southern Maryland, we have the Maryland International Raceway,
better known as MIR or Budd's Creek. On Friday nights, I think, you can
go and pay like five bucks to run the quarter mile. Man, do the
rednecks around here love that place. I've never been, but it sure
would be funny to take the 4-banger out there.

By the way, Doug, how did the blower do?

It worked well, probably could have ran a smaller pulley (more boost)
and 101/105 octane and done better. Still trying to find that stupid
slip with my times on it. Thought I posted it on my write-up... :[
This is irritating me, I wanted to keep that bit of history.

The 1/4 mile trap estimate was 287HP, that I wrote down in an email.
The only email I found says it was 14 and change seconds or so and
close to 100MPH. Wish I would have written the exact values.
Betting it was about 14.5s @ 98mph.

Not bad given the vehicles weight 4052 + me + an extra hundred or
so pounds in stereo gear. They told me it would have ran faster
if I "took all that crap out" and only ran with 1/4 of a tank of
fuel. Heck, guess I should take my stopwatch and go for a nice
afternoon drive. :)

Since then I've done more work to the ZJ. Headers, cat, little
bit of porting on the intake rail, and some minor electrics.
Need to get down there and do it again. The place around here
was called Thunder Valley, down South of Norman Oklahoma.
