whats the difference

morning everyone, just what would the difference be between a 2003

Re: whats the difference

Both have the 4.0 I6. Sahara is an upgraded trim package. Rubicon has the
stronger front and rear Dana 44 axles, with lockers in them, and bigger
tyres.

Sahara is the top-end trim package for TJs (and YJs before that). Rubicon
is Sport level trim, however includes Dana 44 axles front & rear with air
lockers a 4:0 to 1 transfer case and 31" Goodyear MT/R tires on 16 inch rims
(can;t remember the metric siz.) Rubicon is a better package if you plan to
off road, if you're strictly a boulevardier the Sahara will do just fine.
Some consider the Rubi to be the best SWB Jeep ver made, other say anything
made after AMC bought Jeep in 1970 is trash.
