Re: what trail rated really means
Hi Andy,
Cameras and Jeeps soon part, it just happen that there were some nature lovers out there with a lens about a foot long. They asked for our address to send the pictures and no one had paper or pen, so we gave them our check book deposit slip, figuring it would be safe with them, like they wouldn't be putting in any money, or something to screw up our balance. ;-) God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ Andy wrote: > > LOL. Hi Brett,
I don't know how you could have driven it any differently, like if you think the transfer bottomed out on the lip of the road, it couldn't as you see it tucked up above the cross member: http://www.----------.com/libbyTransfer.jpg The puny sun and planetary gears broke before he got that high, anyway. http://www.----------.com/brokn231.jpg http://www.----------.com/BrokenCase01.jpg Basically if you have a V6 or V8, and have to use the motorcycle chain size transfer, don't use low range. On Tue, 03 May 2005 14:43:52 -0700, the following appeared
in rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys, posted by L.W.(ßill) ------ III <----------@cox.net>: Probably. But I wouldn't do it at such a low speed that I got high-centered, and if I could I'd take it at an angle. That's why I rated the driver "moron"; maybe "completely clueless" would have been better. And I may have misinterpreted, but it looked to me like one of those "staircases made of crossways logs" things; hence the "staircase" comment. > You mean you couldn't make over that bank??????
