well, got my Rubi. $25.5k
I decided just to go to my long time dealer and talk about his Willy's or
ordering a new Rubi.. he had one left on the lot, red, ~all~ options including auto, was $30k sticker price. he got me down around $25.5k including rebate. not too bad huh ? I'm sure there are some who probably got lower somehow or another. I was going to order a Lime green one with manual, no air, no options..except 7 speaker stereo.. that was almost $23k... so I bit the bullet. Couldnt take it home today though..damn.. am I nuts or what. yes, I do plan on making use of the gearing, tires and axles. we have some old logging trails up in way northern wisconsin that we can drive.. i do intend to eventually become more than a beginner 4wheeler... just gotta take my time and learn. thanks all for your help and genuinely valuable input. I don't see that much on any other groups. I will try and offer help when / where i can. thanks dave |

$4500 off, ooooh don't tell McFly that, he'll call you a liar. No one
buys a Rubi below sticker let alone near cost. :) Congrats on your new Rubi and welcome to the club. You'll be glad you got the extra options and I, personally, like red better than Lime Green (is there a Lime green?). I like the Khaki and Moss green colors tho. Read your manual on the operation of lockers and 4wd if you've never used them before and have FUN!!
