Warn TJ Gas Tank Skid Plate
Anyone know why Warn is replacing TJ gas tank skid plates? They contacted
me and were in a big hurry to replace it - at their cost. Only a mysterious explanation given. |
Re: Warn TJ Gas Tank Skid Plate
I don't know but keep us informed -- I was going to buy one soon.

Re: Warn TJ Gas Tank Skid Plate
I believe it's due to a lack of clearance between a key area of the gas
tank at the bottom and the skidplate. Warn's skidplate was missing a key indentation that would provide that required clearance. In other words, Warn's skidplate can potentially damage the fuel tank and possibly cause it to fail. Jerry Tom Schelat wrote: > Anyone know why Warn is replacing TJ gas tank skid plates?
