Warn TJ Gas Tank Skid Plate
 

Anyone know why Warn is replacing TJ gas tank skid plates? They contacted
me and were in a big hurry to replace it - at their cost. Only a mysterious
explanation given.

I believe it's due to a lack of clearance between a key area of the gas
tank at the bottom and the skidplate. Warn's skidplate was missing a
key indentation that would provide that required clearance. In other
words, Warn's skidplate can potentially damage the fuel tank and
possibly cause it to fail.

tank at the bottom and the skidplate. Warn's skidplate was missing a
key indentation that would provide that required clearance. In other
words, Warn's skidplate can potentially damage the fuel tank and
possibly cause it to fail.
