You want a Grand by the sounds of it.

Yes, they work well and they are also competent off road.

Check the thread on Got CJ7 fixed, anyone want to bush run in Ontario
Ca. for a couple days.

We had my CJ7, a TJ and a Grand out snow/bush running and we all ran
well.

Want to buy a 3 year old Cherokee, what do you think?

I am looking at buying a 3 year old, high end Jeep product with leather
seats and all the bells.

1 Are they reliable?

2 How much would I expect to pay in Canada?

3 Are they more expensive to maintain than comparable luxury SUVs?

4 Is automatic better than standard in terms of reliability. I don't do much
off roading, just heavy snow driving.

Thanks

Hi Philip,
We haven't heard anything here about reliability problems, a couple
of warp brake rotors taken care of under warranty. Nothing like their
independent front suspension that the wheels have been falling off.
Might run it though http://carfax.com to make sure it's not a salvage or
lemon. And look it up in http://www.traderonline.com/ to see owners are
selling them for. And compare your price with Kelley's:
http://www.kbb.com/ and: http://www2.nadaguides.com/ Deal with the
trade-in values.

You couldn't get the leather seats with the standard transmission I thought.
