It is apparently against the charter. Several of the 'locals' were quick to point this out when someone dared to mention Toyota recently. I'm pretty sure Unimogs don't fit into Billy's definition of "Amerikan" either. We can however have long boring threads about 'pirate' airplanes even though as far as i can tell neither Kaiser, Willys, Jeep nor DC have ever built such flying machines. ----Recent thread where Billy the bully set us all straight---- ßill L. If this does not answer the question then I will go down to Jim's Auto (Jeep guy) and ask around. As an aside I think that the infamous Bill and I were at Baumholder, Germany at about the same time. I remember when they introduced the M151 "Jeep" which was actually made by Ford, and I heard, "This is not a *real* Jeep!" followed by some sort of an explosion, and I never went to the motor pool again. |
