Transmission Problem ????

Has anyone had ANY experiences with any late-model Jeep Wrangler 4WD
(with automatic transmission) "popping" out of PARK into REVERSE gear
(all on its own) ???

Re: Transmission Problem ????

No.

You have to hold the brake pedal down to make that shift.

YES .... I know that. This incident happened "all on its own" -
without a driver or anyone in the vehicle !!!

Re: Transmission Problem ????

Then there is a problem with the linkage, OR the driver left the gear NOT in
Park as they intended.

If the vehicle is placed in Park, it can not make this shift on its own. In
any case, I can't recall any similar complaint on this board.
